Factual wānanga update
NZ On Air is working on developing a Factual Roadmap to guide our Factual investments and provide a clear path for applicants. This mirrors earlier work to create a Scripted Roadmap. Scripted and Factual are two of the four funding streams in our NZ Media Fund.
Last month we invited a range of Factual production professionals to a wānanga to discuss the rapidly changing media landscape, the competing tensions that we must address, and options for funding prioritisation. More than 100 people took part in the day and their input was thoughtful and invaluable. Thanks again to all those who gave up their time.

We are now working on the draft Factual Roadmap which will be published for feedback shortly.
Raupapa Whakaari - Drama to the World
The joint initiative between NZ On Air and the New Zealand Film Commission to find high-end scripted series with both domestic and international appeal has seen a huge response.
102 applications have been received.
A rigorous selection process utilising experienced international drama practitioners is now underway. Ten projects and their teams will receive development funding and attend the Drama Series Lab, which will take place 10-14th June 2019. The ten successful projects will be advised on or before 6 May.
