NZ On Screen

NZ On Screen has recently relaunched with a new look website plus a major new feature – a transactional video-on-demand service that will bring a growing selection of exclusively Aotearoa films to Kiwi audiences.

After nearly two decades of making local screen stories freely accessible, the NZ On Screen platform will now also offer pay-per-view rentals of feature films, expanding how audiences can discover and watch some of New Zealand’s most iconic content. NZ On Screen is run by the Digital Media Trust and funded by NZ On Air.

The new pay-per-view library includes more than 120 titles spanning four decades of filmmaking – from landmark classics to cult classics and contemporary hits – alongside thousands of TV shows, short films, documentaries, backgrounders and profiles already on the site and free to enjoy.

With no subscription required and pay-per-view rentals priced at $6.99 or under, the new offering strengthens NZ On Screen’s role in helping local stories remain visible, accessible and easy to find.
