Special Scripted round
We've now published the Information for applicants to the Special Scripted round.
NZ On Air has allocated a minimum of $15m for this round. We welcome Scripted drama and comedy production applications for projects for both hard-to-reach and general audiences, but with our usual priority emphasis on hard-to-reach audiences.
- Our focus for this round is on Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects. Please read our Investment Strategy for more information on the Tiers.
- We will not be considering Development applications in this round, or production funding for Children's or feature film projects.
It has recently been announced that the NZ Screen Production Grant (NZSPG) rules will change and the NZSPG will be known as the NZ Screen Production Rebate (NZSPR). The changes will allow NZ On Air to support production funding of series and other non-feature film productions that access a NZSPR rebate (beyond Children's and animation which are already eligible). In this round we welcome applications from projects that require gap funding from NZ On Air as part of a finance plan that includes the NZSPR.
