This research was undertaken by Verian. It is used to monitor how the public feels about what we do. Some of these responses also inform NZ On Air's performance measures used to report to government.
The research continues to show high awareness of and support for the work NZ On Air does. However it is clear that among audiences that are not regular users of local media there is lower awareness and support.
This year some new questions were added, measuring recency of local screen content and music consumption, and how that relates to feeling connected to New Zealand's culture, people and environment.
