We’re looking for a Music Funding and Contracts Co‑ordinator to join our Music team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organised, people‑focused work and wants to contribute behind the scenes to the success of New Zealand music and artists.
About the role
Working closely with the Head of Music and Senior Music Funding Advisor, you’ll help make sure NZ On Air’s music funding programmes run smoothly and fairly.
Your work will include:
- Preparing and managing music funding contracts using standard templates
- Supporting the administration of music funding rounds (including New Music Single, Project, Touring and Focus funding)
- Checking applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Maintaining records and systems (including SharePoint and contract management tools)
- Assisting with communication to artists, applicants and industry stakeholders
- Supporting music promotion activity and representing NZ On Air at events when required.
This is a varied role where attention to detail, good organisation and clear communication really matter.
About you
You might bring:
- Relevant work experience and/or a tertiary qualification
- Strong administration skills and confidence using digital systems
- Good attention to detail and an organised, methodical working style
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in the New Zealand music scene and media environment
- A respectful, patient approach when working with artists, applicants and colleagues.
