We're looking for a Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team in Wellington.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a supportive, values-led environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of finance, funding administration, and compliance activities. You'll work closely with our experienced Finance team and play an important role supporting the administration and stewardship of public funding
Reporting to the Associate Head of Finance, you'll support the day-to-day operations of our Finance team and contribute to a range of financial administration, compliance, reporting and stakeholder support activities.
What you’ll bring
We're looking for someone who is curious, motivated and eager to learn.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, or be nearing completion of your studies in 2026.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good experience with using systems and in particular Excel and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to getting things done.
- An interest in the media sector and New Zealand's public service environment.
- An appreciation of Aotearoa New Zealand's diverse cultures and a commitment to supporting the Crown's Treaty partnership responsibilities.
