Support the Funding Team to invest NZ On Air's contestable funding

Location: Wellington

We are looking for a Funding Administrator to support our Funding Team.  

This role will help support NZ On Air's investment in New Zealand television programmes and other broadcast content, bringing local stories, perspectives and voices to audiences across Aotearoa. 

As Funding administrator, you'll be the operational backbone of our funding rounds, ensuring processes run smoothly from application through to funding decisions. You'll work closely with Funding Advisors and Associate Heads of Funding, coordinating assessments, managing documentation, maintaining systems, supporting governance processes and helping applicants navigate our funding processes. 

This is a varied role ideal for someone who loves planning, organisation, continuous improvement, and working with both people and systems. 

In this role, you'll:

Coordinate NZ On Air's funding rounds from application through to funding decisions, support assessments, meetings, stakeholder communications, records management, reporting and system administration. You'll help keep our processes running smoothly while identifying opportunities to improve the way we work through technology, automation and continuous improvement. 

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in administration, coordination or workflow management, ideally gained in a production office or project management environment 
  • Strong document and records management skills  
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities  
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills  
  • High attention to detail and accuracy  
  • Strong organisational and time management skills  
  • Confidence working with digital systems and databases  
  • The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders  
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves  
  • An interest in New Zealand media, screen-based content, or the public sector environment.
