At NZ On Air, we invest in stories, voices and content that reflect the diverse identities, cultures and experiences of Aotearoa New Zealand. We're looking for a talented and creative communications professional to help bring those stories to life through engaging digital content and effective communications.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating compelling content, managing social media channels, building relationships and finding new ways to connect with audiences. You'll work across a broad range of communications activities, helping showcase the impact of NZ On Air's work while leading our social media and website presence.
In this role, you’ll:
- Create engaging social media content across photo, video and written formats
- Manage and grow NZ On Air's social media presence and engagement
- Monitor and report on social media performance, constantly applying lessons learnt
- Maintain website content and communications resources
- Support writing and distributing newsletters, media releases and other communications materials
- Manage stakeholder databases and communication systems
- Build positive relationships with content creators, industry stakeholders and colleagues
- Support internal communications and staff engagement initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in communications broadly, and social media, content creation or digital marketing
- Strong writing and editing skills with a sharp eye for detail
- A positive “roll up your sleeves” work ethic
- Experience creating visual content using Canva, InDesign or similar design tools
- Confidence using digital platforms and communication technologies
- Demonstrated experience using analytics across web and social media channels, including YouTube, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
- A collaborative approach and strong relationship-building abilities
- Curiosity about emerging technology and AI
- An interest in New Zealand's media, creative or public sectors
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software would be an advantage
