Development funding sometimes results from NZ On Air and broadcaster partnerships targeting particular types of programmes, where they agree some development investment would be beneficial. Previous examples of this have included one-off plays, adult drama series, and comedy projects.
In order for applications to be considered, eight copies of a written proposal (one for each NZ On Air Board member and two for staff), including a development application form , must be provided before the published deadline.
If the application arrives late it may be held over until the next meeting date.
NZ On Air board meetings are held every two months. For a list of dates and deadlines click here . It is usual for the applicants to be contacted by fax within three days following the meeting with details of the decision.
Applications should be made by an experienced producer, and must include the following detail (explain in your covering letter if you cannot provide any specific information):
