The Christian Broadcasting Association is a non-profit interdenominational trust that originally produced a radio show called Reflecting On for the NewsTalk ZB network of stations.
In 1996, Reflecting On was recast as Scrubcutter and since then, the CBA has produced thousands of Scrubcutter shows.
The producers describe Scrubcutter as "communicating a fresh, positive message of inspiration in a creative and thought-provoking way ... presenting positive community values without preaching".
Each Scrubcutter is a 90-second "narrative vignette" that plays several times a day during drive and early evening on the NewsTalk ZB network (although not in Auckland or Wellington). They also play on the 34-centre Radio Rhema network.
