Radio continues to be the place to go to discover new music according to recently released research by United States based Edison Research.
Thirty-five percent of Americans aged 12+ use their AM/FM radio to find new music, followed by online (30%) and friends/family (21%) and music TV (4%). The results are similar to those from NZ On Air’s own research which found that the most common sources of new music discovery in New Zealand in 2013 for people aged 18+ were radio (51%), friends/family (28%), internet (26%) and music TV (4%).
