Aroha Bridge

An animated snapshot of the multicultural melting pot that is Aotearoa

Aroha Bridge is built on the shoulders of Hook Ups, a short animated series based on the comic strip of the same name, created by writer and musician Coco Solid (Jessica Hansell). Hook Ups was funded in 2013 and quickly found a loyal cult following. The series is now aiming for a larger audience by introducing more whānau members, including more reo and racial politics in small town suburb ‘Aroha Bridge’.

The series is created and written by Jessica Hansell (aka musician Coco Solid) and includes a stellar cast with voices of Jessica Hansell, Rizvan Tu'itahi, Madeleine Sami, Scotty Cotter, Frankie Stevens and Matai Smith.

The project also includes composed music by Disasteradio, Coco Solid and Tim 'Jizmatron' Checkly.
