NZ On Air normally has thirteen staff (eleven full time and two part time). Our staff have years of collective expertise in the broadcasting industry and can be contacted for information about broadcasting funding, policy and research analysis.
Jane Wrightson - Chief Executive
Jane has overall responsibility for the management of NZ On Air, including the provision of strategic and funding allocation advice to the Board. You can contact Jane by email.
Bernard Duncan - Deputy Chief Executive
Jane's deputy, Bernard supports her work, and is responsible for NZ On Air public affairs, and its IT systems. He also manages the relationships NZ On Air has with its radio and archiving stakeholders. You can contact Bernard by email.
Anita Roberts - Personal Assistant
Anita is assistant to the Chief Executive. She is responsible for liaison with the Chairman and Board, and for arranging Board meetings. She also assists with matters related to NZ On Air's relationships with its radio funding interests, and with office administration. You can contact Anita by email.
Glenn Usmar - Television Manager
Glenn is responsible for overseeing the television-based activities of NZ On Air, including the development of policy and the assessment of television funding applications. He manages the television team. Television funding accounts for around 60% of NZ On Air's funding budget. You can contact Glenn by email.
Melanie Gordon - Legal Affairs Executive
Mel looks after contract and other legal issues in our television work. She works closely with the television team, and is the point of reference with regard to all television contracts. You can contact Mel by email.
Teresa Tito - Executive Assistant Television

Wayne Verhoeven - Chief Financial Officer

Hui-Ping Wu - Accountant

Brendan Smyth - NZ Music Manager
Brendan manages NZ On Air's programmes to support the making and marketing of NZ music. He is responsible for the funding of music videos, the production of the NZ On Air hit discs that go out to radio stations, funding NZ music programmes that play on commercial radio and on the b.net student radio stations as well as the Phase Four and Phase Five funding and promotional strategies. Trish Cross - Receptionist
