Job Opportunities - NZ Music

6 April 2011

Three great jobs promoting great NZ music!

NZ On Air, the Broadcasting Commission, successfully funds and promotes diverse new NZ music to broadcast and online audiences. As part of a revamp of our music funding and promotion schemes we are looking for three special people. Two are new staff positions replacing two contract plugging jobs, and there's a new one for a year's contract.

Broadcast Promotions Executive (Auckland)
You'll play a key role successfully promoting new NZ music to diverse radio and music television stations mainly in New Zealand but also in Australia. You'll have had proven success in music promotion, be very knowledgeable about broadcast trends, have great artist and industry relationships, and a superb general knowledge about NZ music. This is a permanent position.

Repertoire Executive (Auckland)
You'll be the linchpin for getting new music into the hands of broadcasters and online platforms. You'll liaise with record companies and repertoire owners to access great songs and get them compiled, uploaded and out there as part of NZ On Air's priority music campaigns. And you'll be a website whizz. This is a permanent position

Digital Music Strategist (Auckland or Wellington)
You'll consider the best digital media options to promote NZ music to diverse NZ audiences on different platforms, wade through all the possibilities to identify the gaps, and develop and roll out a crisp business plan. You'll be a clever web strategist, experienced in thinking outside the square and delivering practical solutions. And you'll love music. This is a fixed term contract for one year.
