NZ On Air has created a new position in its TV funding team. It's a rare chance to join a team devoted to supporting local programmes, widely enjoyed by audiences, that contribute to New Zealand's screen culture. NZ On Air funding supports television as diverse as Outrageous Fortune and Attitude.
The Television Funding Coordinator will report to the Television Manager and look after contracting and funding administration and compliance. You'll also help write Board papers, analyse the performance of funded programmes, and always be on the lookout for ways to do things better and smarter. You'll be an effective and helpful team player, representing NZ On Air well in your contacts with programme makers.
You may be a graduate with some relevant work experience in contracting or compliance and good office skills. Or you may have screen industry experience and want to learn more about the wider funding environment. Either way, you'll be a spreadsheet whizz, be a good, clear writer able to analyse and provide dispassionate advice, be very good with detail, and be highly organised. And you'll love television in general, and local content in particular.
NZ On Air is an equal opportunities employer. Written applications, including a full CV and a letter explaining why we need you, should be emailed to trish@nzonair.govt.nz by midday, Monday 23 November.
