People access broadcast-like content from multiple platforms including the internet and mobile phones. While we focus most of our resources on funding traditional audiovisual content, we have two special digital initiatives.
The experimental Digital Content Partnership Fund has run for the past four years. Details of the successful applicants are here.
A review of the fund was completed in March 2012 and is available to read here. We will release a revised digital strategy later this year. Until then, no further requests for proposals will be issued.
NZ On Screen is a free online showcase of archived New Zealand television and film, streaming hundreds of titles to the world. New titles spanning many decades are added weekly, ranging from the justifiably famous to the funny. It scooped Best Entertainment Website at the 2009 Qantas Media Awards.
