From Dunedin to Auckland, this artist is making waves across Aotearoa

You may have heard Ciaran Mcmeeken's beautiful new single 'City' on the radio. It's a fusion of acoustic Pop and Folk sounds with clever lyrics and well-crafted, memorable melodies. He could be the next big thing from NZ.

Ciaran moved from Dunedin to Auckland two years ago to pursue a music career in the big smoke, and it sounds as though it is paying off. He recently released his debut album Screaming Man which he worked on with highly acclaimed producers Greg Haver and Timothy Greenslade.

Now with three NZ On Air funded songs under his belt he has been travelling across the country with NZ On Air Broadcast Promotions Executive Jeff Newton to deliver his single 'City' to radio stations and play it live on air.

Ciaran McMeeken has the voice you bang over tables to get to and plays with the ease and skill with which I devour an entire pavlova."

- Roy Colbert, Otago Daily Times

Ciaran will also be taking part in the Apra Amcos SongHubs workshops where he will be able to collaborate with world renowned songwriters in late February 2016.
