Apply for funding for children's music

NZ On Air has just launched New Music Kids to assist with the creation of children’s music content - namely audio recordings and music video content. There will be two New Music Kids funding deadlines in 2018 - March 22 and August 9.

What can I apply for?

Funding of any amount between $2,500 and $10,000 is available depending on the scope of your project. You may be making one or more songs and one or more videos, but the maximum funding for any one Children’s Music artist in this first year of the fund will be $10,000.

NZ On Air will help subsidise the work by paying up to 80% of eligible costs on a reimbursement basis, meaning the applicant must provide a co-investment of at least 20% of the costs of completing the Children’s Music project. There is more information on New Music Kids funding here.

How do I apply?

You must complete a written application to apply for New Music Kids funding. A guideline to help you with your written application is available here.

Applications will only be accepted via our online applications portal Eric and you must register prior to submitting your application (please do this well before the deadline). There is a guideline to the types of costs we may subsidise here and a budget template here.
