Drama and Documentary Reviews

NZ On Air conducts review of the various television genres it supports to encourage dialogue, and continue to grow and develop the strategies that guide its decision making.

In the last few years, comprehensive reviews of drama and documentary strategies have been undertaken, including industry consulation, symposia and ongoing discussion. Papers and presentations contributing to these reviews are published on this page for download as PDFs.

In July 2005 a drama symposium was held in Auckland, with keynote addresses from Dr Trisha Dunleavy from Victoria University in Wellington, and Malcolm Long, Director of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Their presentations may be downloaded by clicking on the PDF links below.
